Communication is thru email and PM only !! Yes, we are based in Singapore but we ship internationally

Testimonial

First and foremost , please do take some time to read thru the Testimonial thread - http://goshopjapan.com/forum/testimonials/ . We are no scammers !!

Abridged Version

A) Keen on getting stuff from Yahoo Japan Auction ?

( Please do your own diligence in vetting the sellers' reputation )

 i. I need at least 24 hrs left in the auction lifespan. Indicate your wishlist at http://goshopjapan.com/forum/wish-list/ and your maximum bid price (No late changes to bid price is entertained)

ii. I will provide quotation of the bid

ii. If agreed, transfer cash to bank account or via Paypal. I will then proceed to bid on your behalf

iii. If you win, the seller will ship the item to my office in Osaka and is then prepared for shipping to your destination. If you lose, I will deduct 1500 yen per bid and refund you the rest

iv. I will then call on you to send me the shipping/packaging payment

 v. Once received, the item will then be shipped to you

B) Keen on item on Rakuten ?

 i. Send me the link and indicate your wishlist at http://goshopjapan.com/forum/wish-list/

ii. I will prepare a quotation

iii. If agreed, transfer the amount to bank account or via Paypal

iv. Wait for item to be sent to Osaka for packaging

 v. I will call on you again for the shipping/packaging fees

vi. Once received, the item is then released for shipping

Detailed Version

Process Flow

1. This is an on-demand online store which has tied up with an Osaka-based packaging agent . This is how it works in general:

a) Send us the link of the item you wish us to get via email (neotan@goshopjapan.com ) or PM . Do indicate estimated weight of the item if some form of shipping estimates are expected - else I can only provide extremely rough estimates. Do post it in the Wishlist http://goshopjapan.com/forum/wish-list/ - section if you can't find what you want or need some shopping advice .All communications with us is thru email or PM strictly

b) I will provide a quotation of the charges involved ( only service charges will be quoted ; Shipping charges are estimated based on the weight which you provide). Charges will be rounded up to the higher dollar. Also, for online purchasing , I will always assume Cash on Delivery charge first - See below for more explanation)

c) Transfer the said amount to my POSB account or pay via Paypal (5.4% charges apply - will be rounded up to higher dollar). Once payment is confirmed, the order is placed

d) The product is sent to Osaka for packaging ; my agent will provide the shipping+handling charges

e) You will be informed of this 2nd charge amount ; Once it's paid up, the product will then be shipped off to delivery address

f) A code will be issued for you to track the package from Osaka to your residence or office (for EMS delivery service only). Use http://www.post.japanpost.jp/int/use/ems_en.html

Charges Info

Exchange converter of choice for my site : www.xe.com

(1) Scenario 1: Purchasing from Online Stores

goshopjapan.com survives on the 10% service charge or 10% COD service (or 1500 whichever is higher) imposed on the purchases

Let's take this example : Trust Greddy Infometer from store : http://item.rakuten.co.jp/auto-craft/10008163/ with a retail price of 35200 Yen

a) If this merchants accepts overseas credit cards (rare in most cases) ,

it will be straight 10% service charge imposed (or 1500 ) on the purchased product

= 35200 + 10% ( I have not factored in domestic charges, taxes etc) ; I will let you know of these ancillary charges in the quotation

b) In the case of non-credit card acceptance , COD (cash on delivery service) is used

The service charge will consist of the following components:

a) product charge : 35200
c) tax (if any) : 0
d) COD charge : 630
e) My agent's COD service ( he will be paying on your behalf - current rate is 10% or 500 min ) = 3583
f) Credit Card Charges (5% - I will be paying him via CC ) : 1971
g) My fees ( 10% of the overall charges) : 4138

==> Total : 45522 Yen to be transferred

(700 yen for domestic shipping fees will be included in the overall shipping fees)

** A special charge of 1500 Yen will be imposed for bulky /special items from non mainstream sites.. Stick to proven sites like Rakuten and Yahoo Japan.

(1) Scenario 2: Participating in Auction

Please note that we need at least 24 hours left in the auction clock. Please do your own due diligence in checking the seller's ratings before proceeding

We need to receive your highest bid price +10% (1500 Yen, whichever is higher). If we lose , we will retain 1500 and refund you the rest

Example : Current bid for an item is 7000 and you decide to cap your bid at 10000

1) Highest Bid Price = 10000
2) Agent bid costs = 1500
3) Settlement fees = 420 (seller's fees if it's a store ; this is variable cost ) or 315 ( my agents' fees is constant)
( there's a cost of 代引手数料 -scroll down the Yahoo auction and you will see this if the seller is a storefront)
4) CC charges ( I paid using my CC) = 5% = 596
5) My fees =10% = 1500

Total to be transferred first = 14016 Yen

- Excess will be used to offset the delivery charges if the winning bid is lower than your highest bid

(Paypal charges of 5.4% apply for Paypal-related transactions)

Shipping Information/Custom Tax

Some observations :

- It will take about 20 days for the goods to arrive in Singapore (it may vary for other locations in Asia Pacific , US, Canada or Europe) from the point of order

- On average, we observe that it takes about 14 days to process auctions ( or proxy-based purchases) within Japan before it's ready for international shipping

- This is a record for us : A car spoiler for a Mini took 30 days for domestic processing before it was ready for international shipping !!

I can only provide estimates of the shipping charges as it differs based on packaging type etc. Do assist by providing an estimation of the weight in KG as I will be guessing as well:

Here's an example : For a 1KG package ( inclusive of the box ), you will be charged at least:

国内送料 700円
海外送料 1800円
海外発送代行手数料 1000円

=> 3500 Yen = 33USD or 45 SGD (based on 16 July 2008 exchange rates)

Please note that goshopjapan.com does NOT take a cut of the shipping/handling charges. Details are found here : http://goshopjapan.com/forum/store-policies/shipping-charges-(-correct-as-of-11-sept-2007)/

Please note that the buyers are responsible for their own country's tax charges

Singapore buyers , please be beware that GST of 7% is levied on products with CIF ( cost, insurance and freight costings) >= 400 SGD. This will be collected by Speedpost when they send it over

Please see http://www.iras.gov.sg/irasHome/page03.aspx?id=2012

Caveat emptor

Please note that GoshopJapan.com reserves the right to add in additional charges not quoted in first payment as the merchant sometimes only provides that after the order has been made. For instance, the normal settlement charge is 315 but there are situations that these charges are increased to 500

No prior testing , installation support or warranty is provided

No refunds will be entertained even if the goods are damaged - refunds are offered only in the case the goods never materialize. In return for this inconvenience, we strive to source for the best prices

Exception : If the products arrive in a different color/specification through no fault of this site, a goodwill 5% percentage of the product costs (only) will be refunded

- A customer ordered some tail lights. The bulbs were broken enroute. Please be aware that GoShopJapan is not liable for such breakages.

-Recently, a customer refused to pay for the shipping charges for bulky items as he deemed it to be too high. In the end, the transaction was void. Please note that there will be no refund if you , the customer ,refuse to complete the transaction process

Most importantly, please note that you have implicitly agreed to the terms and conditions laid out here by proceeding with the transaction

Privacy Rules

goshopjapan.com protects the personal information of its members fiercely and does not trade such information

Please note that the Terms and Conditions are subject to changes anytime.

Thanks for your business,

First of all, i must say I'm surprised to see this site. Kind of happy and skeptical feeling I have. I have a few questions and hope you can answer my doubts.

1.) How can us - the consumer who have to pay you upfront, via TT, without see you be assured we will get our item?

In the case of missing, loss of purchase etc etc, who do we look for?

1.  I am doing this because of the very frustrations I had earlier on while sourcing for stuff for my ride - I wish to assist folks like you as well. This is not my day job - would starve to death  if it is.Look at the transaction trail of ant_wish and the testimonial section.I hope that would  reassure you. It's your choice, ultimately

2. If items do not turn up , I will reimburse you back your money. You can message the other buyers to clarify any doubts

Yes.. I actually lost money on your transaction as the domestic charges came up higher than I expected. It's ok. That's why I took it out.
